Any memorials can be directed to Hospice of North Iowa. Cards, etc. can be sent to Lisa Senne 409 Sherman St. Iowa Falls, IA 50126

Zdenka Nikolich was born July 16, 1950 in Osijek,Yugoslavia (Croatia), daughter of Jelica (Savic)and Mihailo Nikolic. She lived there until 1969, then left to work in Germany. In Germany she met and married an American soldier, John Eighmey. She came to the United States in 1971. She resided in Waterloo, Eldora, other Iowa cities and then settled in Iowa Falls. Zdenka attended Ellsworth Community College where she got her degree in Art.
Zdenka’s number one love was her 3 children and 5 grandchildren. She loved to hear her girls sing, and spend time with her son. She was very proud of her children, and was always telling others how wonderful and special they were to her. She considered her grandchildren the sunshine in her life; she could not get enough of them. She loved to play games and paint & draw with them. Watching her grandchildren play together brought her happiness and joy.
Zdenka was a talented artist with a great love of art. She had a passion for drawing and painting. Zdenka also loved her plants and flowers. She said it brought her happiness to wake up in the morning and be able to look at her beautiful flowers. She loved music. Whenever she had the chance she would have some music playing such as Ozzy, Led Zeppelin, Aerosmith, or the blues.
Thank you to all of her family and friends for all of your support. Thank you to the community that contributed so generously to her benefit. A special thank you from her family to Hospice for everything thing you did. You were truly God sent.
Zdenka is survived by her mother Jelica Nikolic of Osijek, Croatia; her brother, Bosko Nikolic his wife Alfride and two nieces Natascha and Nadine of Germany; Also her 2 daughters and 1 son: Lisa Senne and husband Anthony and granddaughter, Hayley of Iowa Falls; John Eighmey II and wife Jana and grandchildren Jaden and Jack of Des Moines; and Marsha Davies and husband Andy and grandchildren Zackariah and Nadia of Ames; her ex-husbands, John Eighmey and Bill Hansen of Iowa Falls; cousins, aunts and uncles in Europe, and her many, many friends all over the world.
Zdenka was preceded in death by her father, Mihailo Nikolic and a son Michael.
Zdenka was a very simple woman, and nothing could ever get her down. She was always happy and smiling. Zdenka loved her family more than anything, her only regret was that she would have to leave them behind and not be able to see them grow. Cancer took her life, but she is in a better place now and suffers no more. We know she will always be with us. She was loved by all that knew her. She will be loved and missed forever.
